Justice Institute of British Columbia
CFSA graduates are eligible for a Diploma in Fire Service Administration offered by the Fire and Safety Division of the Justice Institute of British Columbia. Completion of the CFSA will count for slightly more than one year of this two year diploma. Much of this diploma will be offered by distance education. For those courses requiring classroom instruction, the Fire and Safety Division is willing to have its instructors teach in many students’ local areas where interest is sufficient to permit a class. Degree Opportunities

University of Regina
Once students have completed the Certificate in Fire Service Administration they are eligible for advanced standing in the Degree in Vocational/Technical Education offered by the University of Regina in Saskatchewan. Applicants must also hold a rank within the fire service and have at least five years full-time experience within the fire service. The extent of advanced standing ranges from between 30 and 48 credit hours or the equivalent of 1 to 1.6 years of full-time education leading toward a four year baccalaureate degree.

The Degree in Vocational/Technical Education is ideally suited for those fire service personnel who foresee a career within the training division of a fire department or are working in an administration or training capacity at a fire training school. The courses offered cover such areas as; instruction, program development, community education/development, evaluation, human resource development and other aspects of adult training and development. Oklahoma State University
CFSA graduates should inquire with the Academic Advisor of Oklahoma State about the possibility of obtaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Oklahoma State University. Credit for CFSA graduates will be given by Oklahoma State University. Oklahoma State University offers the only Masters in Fire and Emergency Management degree in North America.

Lakeland College
Graduates of the Certificate in Fire Service Leadership (CFSL) will be eligible for Advance Standing in the Bachelor of Applied Business: Emergency Services (BAppBus:ES) on-line degree program. Applicants who have also attained their Certificate in Fire Service Administration (CFSA) will be eligible for direct admission into Year Three of the BAppBus:ES program.

This Applied Degree is the only program of its type in North America that offer learners Degree level Management and Leadership training in an online format. Gain knowledge of leading edge management and leadership skills from highly trained, knowledgeable facilitators as well as from fellow learners from across Canada and across all Emergency Service industries.
