Local Government and Public Sector Programs
Local governments have always played a very significant part in Canada’s governing system and that part is becoming more important in the 21st century. Local government has two essential roles in the governing system.
- A social/political role as the entity that provides a sense of local community and fosters local democracy
- An administrative or service delivery role as the entity making decisions about the provision of services at the local level
Our experience in management training and development, municipal finance, strategic planning and in examining the operations and decision-making processes in a diverse range of municipal organizations along with our deep appreciation for the role and purpose of local government have combined to give us a unique vantage point from which to assist local government. Our programming reflects our commitment to achieving excellence in local government.
