Dr. Lloyd Fraser, Director

Lloyd Fraser is a Professor (Continuing Education) at Dalhousie University College of Continuing Education. He is an experienced facilitator who has worked on many projects involving government, university, industry, and union stakeholders. Lloyd has studied negotiation at Harvard University and recently has completed his doctorate in Adult Education at the University of Toronto. He brings to the teaching of negotiation and dispute resolution a longstanding involvement in education concerning peace, justice, and planetary sustainability.

Professor Grant MacDonald, Associate Director

Grant MacDonald is an Associate Professor (Continuing Education) at Dalhousie University College of Continuing Education. He has over 20 years experience as an adult educator and facilitator. He has experience in community development, health reform and labour relations and has worked extensively with voluntary sector organizations in board development and board-staff relations.

Grant is a trained mediator with an interest in neighbourhood and community disputes and in multi-stakeholder negotiation processes, especially those involving government, business and community interests. Grant has his Master’s degree in Public Administration.

Professor Susan Holmes, Associate Director, Special Programs

Susan Holmes, MEd, is a Professor (Continuing Education) at Dalhousie University College of Continuing Education, and leads the College's Community Partnerships Group. Susan has been working and studying in the field of adult education since 1985 with experience in community college, public school, and university settings in Alberta, Ontario, and Nova Scotia. In 1998 she led the team that designed and delivered Dalhousie's Master of Information Technology Education program.

Susan is a member of the Executive of the Dalhousie Faculty Association and Case Worker for the Grievance Committee. She has also served on the Executive in the past, twice during collective bargaining. Susan is an active member of the Conflict Resolution Network of Canada and has completed training at the Harvard University Program on Negotiation.
