Non-Profit Sector Leadership Program
The mission of Dalhousie University's Non-Profit Sector Leadership Program is to support learning that will assist voluntary, non-governmental and community organizations to
- Improve their governance and management practices
- Pursue their missions more effectively and creatively
- Collaborate with others locally, nationally and globally
- Build stronger communities and a more just and democratic world.
The program provides a range of training opportunities and advisory services to executive directors, managers, board members and others involved with voluntary sector organizations. This includes a variety of in-depth professional development opportunities and a highly developed training and support program in volunteer board development and governance. It also is involved in designing and facilitating cross sector dialogue and in community research projects relevant to strengthening knowledge in the sector
