What's New? Program Updates 


  • The next term of distance courses will begin on September 4, 2012. Registrations received by July 9 will receive a $50 discount.
  • The Certificate in Police Leadership Program brochure, Coaching Skills brochure, and registration form are available on-line in PDF format.
  • A Managing Police Performance: Coaching Skills for Police Supervisors workshop will be held in the York region of Ontario from March 30 - April 1, 2012 and in Halifax from May 25 - 27, 2012.
  • In 2012 we will be moving towards more eco-friendly practices, so some of the materials students currently receive in print, will now be delivered electronically. Course readings and textbooks will still be sent out in hard copy format, however, course and student manuals may be emailed.
  • The 2011 winner of the Sgt. Bruce MacPhail Award for Academic Excellence has been announced! Congratulations to Deputy Chief Constable Del Manak of the Victoria Police Department who recently earned a Certificate in Police Leadership with a Supervisory Skills concentration!
  • Our courses may be applied towards Athabasca University's Bachelor of Professional Arts in Criminal Justice, and Lakeland College's Bachelor of Applied Business: Emergency Services. For more information, please go to the "current students" section of this website.
  • Students graduating with an Advanced Certificate in Police Leadership can receive advanced standing in our NACLAA program (National Advanced Certificate in Local Authority Administration).
