Refining Your Learning Skills for Engineers

          

This 30 hour course (plus daily assignments) is practical and experiential and is designed to enhance your learning skills for the purpose of achieving academic success in university. Students who attend this course will have experienced academic success in the past; however, the study skills applied may not have been sufficient for the intense demands placed on students in the Faculty of Engineering. To help you refine your skill set, we have selected a range of topics that aim to secure self awareness and personal competence.

NB: This course is specifically designed in cooperation with the Faculty of Engineering for students in academic difficulty. You may be required to reduce your Engineering course load as a condition of entrance to Refining Your Learning Skills.

Course Details

This course includes 30 hours of classroom time, plus daily assignments, for a total of approximately 40 hours. A minimum of B- (80%) is required to pass.

Course Material
Students will receive a Study Guide of resource materials that will be used throughout the course. These resources will assist the student in maintaining more effective learning skills in their future studies.
